The Australian National Airways Douglas DC-3-232A VH-ABR 'Kanana' was badly damaged when it was forced to make an emergency landing at Forrest, Western Australia, when both engines failed on take-off. It was repaired and returned to service.

The Ansett Airlines of Australia Air Cargo Aviation Traders ATL-98A Carvair VH-INM operated its final freight service. It was then withdrawn from service and stored at Melbourne (Tullamarine) awaiting sale.
