The Trans-Australia Airlines Vickers Viscount 756C VH-TVL was dismantled and departed Bisbane (Eagle Farm) on the back of a low-loader truck, as it had been sold to Les Arthur of the Toowoomba Aviation Museum some weeks earlier.

On This Day - November 13, 1998.

The Air New Zealand Boeing 747-419 ZK-NBV 'Christchurch' was rolled-out at Auckland (New Zealand) in the special 'Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers' livery to celebrate the new Peter Jackson movie of the same name. It entered service later that day operating Flight NZ6 from Auckland to Los Angeles (United States).

The Virgin Blue Embraer ERJ-190-100IGW VH-ZPK 'Aussie Bob' entered service, operating Flight DJ750 from Brisbane to Adelaide (West Beach).

The Air New Zealand Airbus A320-232 ZK-OJR arrived at Auckland (New Zealand) having completed its delivery flight from France (Toulouse) as Flight NZ6393.

The Virgin Australia Airlines Embraer 170-100LR VH-ZHE 'Bee-bop-a-blue' operated its final passenger service from Rockhampton to Brisbane as Flight DJ1240. It was then ferried to Melbourne (Tullamarine) later that day as Flight DJ9062, where it was prepared for its flight to the United States for storage.

The first Jetstar Airways Boeing 787-8, VH-VKA, entered service, operating Flight JQ432 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Coolangatta.

On This Day - November 13, 2016.

The National Jet Systems / QantasLink Boeing 717-2BL VH-YQU was damaged whilst parked at Brisbane when strong winds blew a large water tank across the tarmac, striking the aircraft. It was removed from service and stored at Brisbane until the damage and the aircraft's paintwork were repaired.

The Virgin Australia Airlines Boeing 737-8FE VH-VUU 'Kingscliff Beach' departed Melbourne (Tullamarine) on its ferry flight to Indonesia (Jakarta / Halim) where it was overhaulled and repainted into the REX Regional Express Airlines livery, prior to its reregistration as VH-REX and return to Melbourne.
