On This Day - April 14, 1964.

The Ansett-ANA Douglas DC-6B VH-INA suffered a major propellor failure on the Number 3 engine, as it took-off from Melbourne (Essendon) en-route to Adelaide (Parafield). The unbalanced engine was partially wrenched from its upper engine mounts, posing a major hazard for the pilots if a landing was attempted with the engine still attached to the airframe.

The Fokker F28-1018 Fellowship VH-FKD operated its first revenue service for MacRobertson Miller Airlines (M.M.A.), operating Flight MV1740 from Perth to Port Headland.

On This Day - April 14, 2007.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 747-338 VH-EBT 'City of Wagga Wagga' operated its last passenger service, operating Flight QF585 from Perth to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It was then withdrawn from service and prepared for its ferry flight to the United States for storage and sale.

On This Day - April 14, 2013.

The Jetstar Airways Airbus A330-202 VH-EBS operated its last passenger service, operating Flight JQ038 from Denpasar (Bali) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). Later that day it was ferried from Sydney (Kingsford Smith) to Brisbane as Flight JQ7992 for return to Qantas Airways, at the end of the Jetstar lease.

The Alliance Airlines Embraer ERJ-190-100IGW VH-UYR was ferried from Darwin to Brisbane as Flight TT4000, on return to Alliance following the end of its sub-lease to Air North.
