Allocated the R.A.A.F. serial number A65-71 with radio call-sign 'VHCIN'

Issued to No 37 Squadron, 86 Transport Wing

Used to carry the body of the Australian Prime Minister J. Curtin Canberra-Perth for funeral - May 1945

Transferred to RAAF Butterworth with Transport Support Flight - 1971 - 1973

Withdrawn from operational use - October 18, 1981

Transferred to the Australian War Memorial and stored at Duntroon

RAAF and A.W.M. entered into an agreement whereby it was loaned to the RAAF for 5 years - 1981

The agreement was renewable every 2 years thereafter to enable it to be flown to heritage events

Repainted in WWII Air Force livery and displayed at various flying displays as 'VH-CIN'

This agreement was terminated - August 1997

Operated last flight Richmond A.F.B.-Canberra - August 5, 1997

Stored at the Treloar Centre, Canberra in dismantled condition in near airworthy condition

Intended for display at some stage at the Australian War Memorial
