The Qantas Airways Boeing 747-438 VH-OJM 'Gosford' arrived at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, having completed its delivery flight from the United States. This was also its first revenue service, operating Flight QF531 from Vancouver to Sydney.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 747-438 VH-OJQ 'City of Mandurah' arrived at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, having completed its delivery flight from the United States. It was the airline's 100th airliner. This was also its first revenue service, operating Flight QF531 from Los Angeles to Sydney.
