On This Day - October 28, 1957.

The Qantas Airways Lockheed 1049G-82 Constellation VH-EAO 'Southern Auroa' arrived at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) having completed its delivery flight from the United States. It achieved a 'world-first' on this flight in being the first aircraft to cross the Pacific Ocean non-stop from Honolulu to Sydney.

The Jetstar Airways Airbus A330-202 VH-EBE was ferried Brisbane to Singapore (Seletar) as Flight 6011 for repainting into the Qantas 'New Roo' livery, following its return to Qantas at the end of its lease.
