The ex-Trans-Australia Airlines Lockheed 188A Electra VH-TLB, operating with TACA Air Cargo as YS-07C, was damaged beyond repair when the Number 4 fuel tank exploded during engine start at San Salvador Airport. As it could not be repaired it was scrapped on-site.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 737-838 VH-VXA 'Broome' arrived at Brisbane having completed its delivery flight from the United States (Seattle / Boeing Field) as Flight QF6020. It was the 118th Boeing airliner delivery to Qantas, its 4th Boeing 737 but its first Boeing series 800 aircraft.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB 'Phillip Island' was rolled out at Melbourne (Avalon) with 'Australia 2011 Grand Prix Melbourne' titles, to promote the upcoming car racing event. It was then ferried to Sydney (Kingsford Smith) later that day as Flight QF6012.
