On This Day - December 01, 1969. The Pan American Airlines Boeing 707-321B N892PA 'Clipper Star King' crashed at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) whilst taking-off. There were no fatalities but the aircraft was very badly damaged. |

On This Day - December 01, 1970. The Ansett Airlines of New South Wales Fokker F28-1018 VH-FKD operated its first revenue service, operating Flight WX1002 from Sydney to Dubbo. This was the first jet-engined airliner to be utilised on New South Wales intrastate flights. |
