The Qantas Airways Boeing 707-138B VH-EBA 'City of Melbourne' arrived at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) following its ferry flight from United States (Seattle) where it had been converted by Boeing to a Boeing 707-138B standard, with the fitting of new Pratt & Whitney JT3D-1 turbo-fan engines.

The Air New Zealand Boeing 747-419 ZK-NBV 'Christchurch' arrived at Auckland (New Zealand) from San Francisco (United States) having operated its final revenue service. This was the airline's final Boeing 747-400 service. It was then withdrawn from use and all airline titles were removed.
