The Australian National Airways Douglas DC-3-232A VH-ABR 'Kanana' was chartered by the Australian Commonwealth Government, for use by the Royal Australian Air Force. It was cancelled from the Australian Aircraft Register the following day and allocated the Australian Military Aircraft Registration 'A30-3'.

The Ansett-ANA Vickers Viscount 720C VH-RMQ was leased to MacRobertson-Miller Airlines, so that it could upgrade its service on the Perth - Port Headland route. It was delivery to Perth three days later.

The Ansett Flying Boat Services Short S.25 Sunderland Mk 5 flying boat VH-BRF 'Islander' was sold to Antilles Air Boats, Virgin Islands. It was reregistered as N158J on September 24.

The ex Qantas Airways Airbus A300B4-203 VH-TAA, having been sold to Pinnacle Air Cargo Enterprises and reregistered as N370PC, departed Melbourne (Tullamarine) for the last time, on its ferry flight to Germany (Dresden) for conversion to an all-freight configuration.

The Royal Australian Air Force Boeing 737-7DF/BBJ A36-001 arrived at Canberra (RAAF Base Fairburn) having completed its delivery flight from the United States (Tucson) as Flight ASY213. This aircraft is operated by No. 34 (VIP) Squadron.

The Boeing 737-8FE VH-VUF was ferried Townsville - Melbourne (Tullamarine) as Flight DJ1814, having been repainted into the 'Pacific Blue' livery. It returned to service the same day, operating Flight DJ1322 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Hobart.
