On This Day - September 09, 1960.

The Lockheed 188C Electra VH-ECD 'Charles Sturt' operated its final service with Trans-Australia Airlines, operating Flight TN402 from Melbourne (Essendon) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It was then returned to Qantas Airways at the end of this lease.

The Australian Airlines Boeing 737-376 VH-TJD 'Gallant' arrived at Melbourne (Tullamarine) having completed its delivery flight from the United States (Seattle / Boeing Field) as Flight TN1398.

On This Day - September 09, 1999.

The Air New Zealand Boeing 747-419 ZK-NBW arrived at Auckland (New Zealand), having completed its delivery flight from the United States (Seattle, Boeing Field). On arrival it entered the Air New Zealand paint shop where it acquired the 'All Black Rugby' livery.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 767-338ER VH-OGG 'Rockhampton' operated its last service in the airline's 'New Roo' livery as Flight QF466 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It then acquired a special livery to promote the Australian premiere of the Disney film 'Planes'.

The Qantas Airways Airbus A330-202 VH-EBK 'Savannah Way' was ferried Singapore (Seletar) to Brisbane as Flight QF6010, having been repainted into the airline's 'New Roo' livery, following its return from lease to Jetstar Airways.
