The Qantas Airways Douglas C-47A-20-DK VH-EAL was sold to Brain & Brown Air Freighters for 25,000 Australian Pounds. It was immediately reregisterded as VH-BAA.

The ex-Trans-Australia Airlines Douglas DC-9-31 VH-TJO, having been sold to International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) and reregistered as N731L, departed Melbourne (Tullamarine) as Flight TN1399 on its ferry flight to the United States (Phoenix, Arizona).

The Virgin Blue Boeing 737-705 VH-VBX 'Sultry Sapphire' operated its final revenue service as Flight DJ847 from Cairns to Brisbane. It was then ferried from Brisbane to Christchurch as Flight DJ9072 later that day, for 'end-of-lease' maintenance prior to its return to the lessor.
