The Qantas Airways Douglas DC-4-1009 VH-EBM 'Philippine Trader' came to grief whilst landing at Sydney (Kingsford Smith). The nose-wheel collapsed during the landing roll. The aircraft was repaired and returned to service.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 737-838 VH-VXA 'Broome' returned to service, operating Flight QF410 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith) after having the special Cricket Australia 'Now Its On Our Turf' decals applied.

The Qantas Airways Airbus A330-202 VH-EBF 'King Valley' departed Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport on its ferry flight to Dresden, Germany as Flight QF7531 where it will be converted to an all-freight configuation by the Airbus-ST Engineering joint venture Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW).
