The Australian National Airways Douglas DC-3-232A VH-ACB 'Warana' arrived at Port Melbourne as deck cargo aboard the S.S. Tolken. Once unloaded, it was transported to Melbourne (Essendon) where it was re-assembled.

The Douglas C-47-35-DL VH-AEY 'McMillan' entered service with Trans-Australia Airlines, having been acquired from the Commonwealth of Australia.

The Trans-Australia Airline Douglas DC-9-31 VH-TJK 'Douglas Mawson' operated its last passenger service. It was then withdrawn from from use and stored at Melbourne (Tullamarine) awaiting sale to Australian Aircraft Sales, having flown 39,421 hours with 42,508 cycles.
