The ex Ansett Airlines Boeing 727-277LR VH-ANA, having been sold to Intrepid Aviation (USA) departed Melbourne (Tullamarine) on its ferry flight to the United States (Miami) as Flight AN290, where is was converted to an 'all-freight' configuration.

The Impulse Airlines Boeing 717-231 VH-VQG arrived at Newcastle having completed its delivery flight from the United States (Victorville, California). Impulse had entered into an agreement to operate Boeing 717 services for Qantas as QantasLink.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 737-376 VH-TJB 'Fortitude' operated its last revenue service as Flight QF1079 from Mt Isa to Brisbane. It was then ferried from Brisbane to Melbourne (Tullamarine) as Flight QF6125 to be prepared for delivery to Qantas Jetconnect (New Zealand).
