The Qantas Airways Lockheed 188C Electra VH-ECD 'Pacific Enterprise' operated the airline's final Electra service, operating Sydney (Kingsford Smith) - Wellington - Sydney (Kingsford Smith) as Flight QF322 / 327. The aircraft had flown 24,953 hours. It was then prepared for lease to Air New Zealand.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 747-238B VH-EBA 'City of Ipswich' operated its final passenger service as Flight QF28 from Hong Kong to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It was withdrawn from service, having flown 68,182 hours with 21,691 cycles, and prepared for ferrying to the United States for return to the lessor.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 747-438 VH-OJO 'City of Toowoomba' operated its final revenue service as Flight QF63 / QF64 from Sydney (Kingsford Smith) - Johannesburg (South Africa) - Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It was then withdrawn from use and stored at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) with all titles and logos removed, before being ferried to the United States for storage and eventual scrapping
