It was then ferried Brisbane to Melbourne (Tullamarine) as Flight AN4047 where it was then stored awaiting sale, having flown 39,324 hours with 21,722 cycles.

The Ansett Airlines Airbus A320-211 VH-HYN operated its last passenger service 'under administration', as Flight AN91 from Sydney (Kingsford Smith) to Melbourne (Tullamarine). It was then returned to the I.L.F.C. by the Ansett administrators.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 747SP-38 'City of Gold Coast Tweed' departed Sydney (Kingsford Smith) on its last flight, operating a supplementary freight service as Flight QF7571 to Hawaii (Honolulu). It was then ferried to Marana the next day as Flight QF6019 for storage and scrapping. On engine shut-down at Marana it had flown 75,238 hours with 14,011 cycles.
