On This Day - June 13, 1938. Ownership of the Short S.23 'C' Class Empire Flying Boat G-AEUH 'Corio' was officially transferred to Qantas Empire Airways Ltd from Imperial Airways Limited. This aircraft had been earmarked for delivery to QEA during its construction, but it was retained by Imperial Airways to cover their recent losses of Short S.23 'C' Class flying boats. |
