On This Day - January 26, 1987. The Ansett Airlines Boeing 737-277A VH-CZV operated its final revenue service as Flight AN39 from from Sydney (Kingsford Smith) to Melbourne (Tullamarine). It was then withdrawn from service and prepared for sale, having flown some 11,000 hours. |

On This Day - January 26, 2004. The QantasLink Bombardier DHC-8-315Q C-GZPN arrived at Brisbane having completed its delivery flight from Canada (Toronto / Downsview) It was reregistered as VH-SBW before it entered service. |

On This Day - January 26, 2014. The Airwork / Toll Priority Boeing 737-3B7SF ZK-TLC was badly damaged whilst landing at the Solomon Islands (Honiara). The starboard landing gear collapsed causing major structural damage to the airframe. It was deemed to be uneconomical to repair and was written-off. |
