The MacRobertson Miller Airlines Douglas DC-3 VH-MML, having been repainted into the Ansett Airlines of Papua New Guinea livery and with the 'Bird-of-Paradise' tail logo, departed Perth on its delivery flight to New Guinea.

The Classic Wings Douglas C-47A-20-DL VH-CWS operated its final flight. It was then repossessed by the Westpac Banking Corporation, and registered to them two days later.

On This Day - January 10, 2014.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 767-338ER VH-OGP 'Forbes' operated its last revenue service as Flight QF494 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It was then withdrawn from use and prepared for its ferry flight to the United States.

The Cobham Aviation Services British Aerospace 146-100A VH-NJC was ferried from Perth to Adelaide (West Beach) as Flight JTE5500, where it was withdrawn from service and prepared for scrapping.

On This Day - January 10, 2022.

The Silk Air Boeing 737-8SA, now registered as VH-IWY, was ferried from Brisbane to Townsville as Flight VA9927 for repainting by Flying Colours into the Virgin Australia livery.
