The Qantas Airways Boeing 707-338C VH-EAB 'City of Canberra' was involved in a dramatic mid-air 'loss-of-control' incident, whilst operating the Bangkok - Bahrain sector on the Sydney (Kingsford Smith) - London (Heathrow) service as Flight QF739. The Qantas Airways Boeing 737-838 VH-VYF 'Evendale' operated its last service in its original livery as Flight QF974 from Brisbane to Townsville. It then entered the Flying Colours facility to be repainted into the airline's 'Silver Roo' livery.
