The Qantas Empire Airways Douglas DC-4-1009 VH-EBK arrived at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) having completed its delivery flight. The aircraft was renamed 'Malayan Trader' before entering service.

The Trans-Australia Airlines Douglas C-47A-35-DL VH-AEZ was sold to East-West Airlines. It was reregistered as VH-EWD before it entered service.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 707-138B VH-EBE 'City of Perth' ferried Queen Elizabeth II from Christchurch (New Zealand) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith) to commence her Australian leg of the Royal Tour. This aircraft was the official aircraft for this Royal Tour and had been modified to suit.

The Ansett-ANA Douglas DC-9-31 VH-CZG arrived at Melbourne (Essendon) having completed its delivery flight from the United States (Long Beach, California).

The Qantas Airways Airbus A330-202 VH-EBI 'Yarra Valley' entered service, operating Flight QF8566 from Sydney (Kingsford Smith) to Perth.

On This Day - February 18, 2019.

The final flight of the Qantas Airways Boeing 747-438 VH-OJS 'Hamilton Island' was from San Francisco to Mojave as Flight QF6021, a flight time of 53 minutes. On engine shut-down it had flown 92,000 hours 28 minutes with 9,576 cycles. The aircraft was then scrapped for parts.

On This Day - February 18, 2021.

The first mid-air wedding ceremony aboard a Virgin Australia aircraft took place on their Boeing 737-8FE VH-YFX 'Mackenzie Bay'. The aircraft was operating Flight VA841 from Melbourne (Tullamarine - 12:32 AEST) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith - 13:37 AEST). The lucky couple were Elaine Tiong and Luke Serdar.
