On This Day - February 16, 1968. The Qantas Airways Boeing 707-138B VH-EBE 'City of Perth' departed Sydney (Kingsford Smith) on its final revenue service, operating Sydney - San Francisco - Sydney. On its return to Sydney it was withdrawn from use and stored, pending its sale to Standard Airways, having flown 26,203 hours. |
