On This Day - December 27, 2014. The last day of Qantas Boeing 767 operations! The Qantas Airways Boeing 767-338ER VH-OGL 'City of Wangaratta' was the last aircraft to be withdrawn from service, after it operated Flight QF767 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). To mark this sad occasion the aircraft performed three circuits over Sydney Harbour before it landed. On engine shut-down it had flown 83,681.25 hours with 27,145 cycles. |

The Qantas Airways Boeing 767-338ER VH-OGT 'Maroochydore' was the first aircraft to be withdrawn from service, after it operated Flight QF442 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). The aircraft was then withdrawn from service at Sydney, where it was stored with all marking removed. |
