The Trans-Australia Airlines Fokker F.27-6187 Friendship VH-TQT 'Thomas Mitchell' was the first commercial airliner to land at Darwin after Cyclone Tracy had hit the city the previous night. It operated Flight TN556 from Alice Springs to Darwin. This aircraft then uplifted 57 people on an evacuation flight to Brisbane. |
