On This Day - August 31, 2001.

The Ansett Airlines Boeing 737-377 VH-CZN operated its last revenue service as Flight AN327 from Perth to Melbourne (Tullamarine). It was undergoing heavy maintenance at Melbourne (Tullamarine) when Ansett suspended operations on September 13 due to financial difficulties. Once maintenance work had been completed it was stored at Melbourne (Tullamarine) and advertised for immediate sale by Aviation Capital Group on December 20, 2001.

The Qantas Jetconnect Boeing 737-376 ZK-JNF was ferried from Christchurch (New Zealand) to Melbourne (Avalon) as Flight QF6172 where it was converted by Qantas to an all-freight configuration.
