The Lockheed 1049G-82 Constellation N9722C arrived at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) having completed its delivery flight to Qantas Airways from the United States (Portland). It was reregistered as VH-EAO to Qantas Airways on August 23, and renamed 'Southern Prodigal'.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 737-838 ZK-ZQH 'Charles Upham' arrived at Melbourne (Tullamarine) having completed its delivery flight from the United States (Seattle / Boeing Field) as Flight QF6024. It was the airline's 173rd Boeing airliner and its 53rd Boeing 737.

The QantasLink Boeing 717-231 VH-NXM operated its last revenue service as Flight QJE 6200 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Canberra. It was then withdrawn from service and prepared for its ferry flight to the United States for storage.
