The Trans-Australia Airlines Boeing 727-76 VH-TJA 'James Cook' returned to service following the completion of repairs after its collision with the Canadian Pacific Airlines Douglas DC-8-63 CF-CPQ as it was taking-off on Runway 16 at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) on January 29. The CP Air DC-8 had not vacated the runway as the Boeing 727 took off, with both aircraft sustaining major damage. |
