Comment:

First of all thank you for all your hard work. This CD-ROM is really a visual masterpiece! I like the way you break up the CD-ROM into three pertinent sections. The first section I like because it gives the general arrangements of the Boeing 707-138 'Stratoliner'. Coincidently I have a similar Boeing training booklet on the Boeing 707-121 printed for Pan American. I think yours is a little more detailed. For example, page 18 of your CD-ROM is identical to my Pan Am booklet except yours has the additional detail of what type of aluminum is used on the various engine cowlings / strut sections. Also I have been trying to find out the metal used on the turbo-compressor exhaust section. Your CD-ROM clearly shows that it was titanium. For me, that information was worth the cost of the CD-ROM alone!

The second section has many great photos of VH-EBA. But I think the most important thing you captured was the construction progress of 'Ship 501'. Let's face it, these early Boeings were on the cutting edge of technology at the time. The photos you provided Bob are a slice of aviation history that needs to be preserved and passed on. It was brilliant to include them.

The third section on the first Boeing 707-138B VH-EBH is also great in a similar way to your second section. Lots of great photos, both during construction and air-to-air.

Thanks again for all your work in the production of this CD-ROM. I think this CD would sell well at the National Air & Space Museum in washington D.C. They already have the Boeing 367-80 on display there and your CD shows the continuation of that aircraft's legacy.

Product: Great Qantas Boeing 747SP Memories

Comment:

The subject matter itself, the mini jumbo 747SP would be enough justification by itself to purchase this CD-ROM. By Boeing standards it was a very low volume model but its performance, especisally its very long range (for the time) stood it apart. Robert gives a detailed history of the two examples used by Qantas, which is very useful to history buffs.

However the main attraction is the quality and quantity of the photos. The air-to-air photos taken during the test flights are simply stunning.

I would highly recommend this CD-ROM to every enthusiast of Australian aviation and in particular to those who like the Boeing 747.

Product: Great Qantas Boeing 747SP Memories

Comment:

A fantastic CD-ROM on an unique aircraft operated by Qantas. The background information relating to the development of the B-747SP was informative yet not overpowering. The history on the two aircraft - VH-EAA and VH-EAB is concise and easy to read.

Image quality is outstanding - I enjoyed running them as a slide-show on my computer. I have no hesitation in recommending this CD-ROM to all enthusiasts. Excellent work Robert.

Product: Beachcomber - The Story Of A Flying Boat

Comment:

This CD-ROM strongly reflects the author's great interest in and love for the Ansett Short Sandringham flying boats.

As a fellow devotee, I found the CD-ROM fascinating, as it included photos and information beyond my own, fairly extensive collection on VH-BRC 'Beachcomber'. I can only thoroughly recommend it to all those interested in that sadly 'lost era'.
