Broadbent, H. F. 'Jimmy'
Before WWII he broke the record for a solo flight from England - Australia - England. Flew for Qantas as an F/O on their Short S-23s. Transferred from Butler Air Transport in the early 1950s. Left in 1952 to fly with Silver City Airways. From November 1954 he flew with Aquila Airways. Also flew for Ansett Airways and Connellan Airways. Disappeared without a trace on November 9, 1958 whilst ferrying a Mars Mariner across the Atlantic Ocean.
