The Qantas Airways Boeing 707-138 VH-EBB 'City of Sydney' arrived at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) having completed its ferry flight from the United States (Seattle) where it had been converted to a Boeing 707-138B standard and repainted into the new 'Qantas V-Jet' livery.

The Virgin Australia Boeing 737-8FE VH-VUB 'Trigg Beach' operated its last service in the standard livery, operating Flight VA841 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It was then repainted into the Tigerair livery in Townsville.
